Feeling blessed

The last couple of years have been challenging. After I round every corner expecting to see a clear and straight path; instead I encounter obstacles and speed bumps. I strongly believe every thing happens for a reason, and yes, I admit that these challenges made me cry. They made me feel helpless and lost and convinced I was destined to always feel helpless. But through it all, I always managed to make it to the other side; stronger and better because of it.
This past week I was able to spend a week making art by the ocean at Haystack. A privilege that I was not so sure of  at first. It was out of my comfort zone and required me to slow down. Unusual for me. I slowed down. I reflected. And I thought about all the things that I truly feel fortunate to have happened.
So today, I feel blessed.
